Amazon’s new Signage Stick was launched to address the rapidly-growing digital signage market. It’s similar to the Fire Stick 4k Max, but with an operating system that’s been optimized exclusively for digital signage playback (entertainment apps like HBO and Netflix cannot be installed on this device). When you first plug in the Signage Stick, you’ll be instructed to register the device with your Amazon account using a simple PIN code. Choose XOGO from the drop-down menu of CMS providers. Now you’ll see our familiar PIN code screen. Simply log into XOGO Manager to connect the device to your XOGO account and send it a playlist of content.
The Amazon Signage Stick plays 4k content at up to 60 frames per second, and video playback was impressive in our testing, with no signs of lag. Playlist updates download quickly thanks to the Signage Stick’s blazing-fast WiFi 6 connectivity, and there’s an optional ethernet adapter for mission-critical signage applications. After initial setup, the Signage Stick automatically launches and runs XOGO whenever it’s turned on - no more fumbling with a remote control!
Amazon launched the Signage Stick here in the United States in November 2024, and we’re told that it will likely be available in additional markets next year.
