Amazon began selling Fire TV Edition televisions in 2021. They offer the same user experience and interface as an Amazon Fire TV Stick, but without any need to plug in an external player. Apps like XOGO Player can be downloaded right from the Amazon App Store, and like the Fire TV Stick, you can use the Fire TV Edition television as an entertainment hub when you’re not using it to run your signage.
We’ve found Fire TV Edition televisions to be powerful and responsive digital signage players. They run XOGO Player super well, they come with the familiar Amazon voice remote, and they can be used to run apps like Netflix, Prime Video or HBO when they’re not playing your digital signage content. They may not have all the features of a commercial display, like HDR, super bright OLED screens or customizable on/off schedules, but for small businesses or any organization on a budget, these are still an excellent choice!
