Step 2: Open XOGO Manager on your computer, tablet or smart phone.

XOGO Manager is available for Windows, Android, iOS, and can be accessed in any web browser. Think of it as a remote control for your digital signs. It allows you to upload media, create playlists and control all of your players. From anywhere in the world!

Step 3: Connect your players to XOGO Manager.

This is the fun part. Log into XOGO Manager and click +New in the Library section to upload your content. Then click +New in the Playlist section to make a playlist of content. You can decide how long each item stays on-screen and the days/times when it plays. Finally, click +New in the Players section to connect players to your account - enter each player’s PIN number, give it a name (i.e. “Front Lobby”) and tell it which playlist to play. That’s all it takes!

One of the best things about XOGO digital signage is the fact that users can log into XOGO Manager and control their screens from anywhere in the world. Since your player devices are Internet-connected, they will automatically receive and play the content that you send them via the manager app. But what happens if your players have connectivity issues? This is where LTE modems come into play.

Programmatic Advertising 101

Simply put, programmatic advertising is the automated process of buying and selling digital ads, rather than purchasing directly from publishers. This process uses artificial intelligence and real-time bidding for inventory across many forms of advertising. XOGO has partnered with Vistar Media, a world leader in the space, to bring programmatic DOOH advertising to thousands more screens.

Media Player Spotlight: Google Chromecast

Google’s Chromecast device first debuted in 2013. At the time, it was simply used for mirroring content from a laptop or mobile device to one’s TV. It couldn’t run native apps like the Fire Stick or Apple TV, so it wasn’t useful for applications like digital signage. In 2020, however, Google released the 4th generation Chromecast. This latest model comes in HD or 4K versions, runs Android 10 and comes with the user-friendly Google TV interface, which lets users install apps like HBO, Netflix, and of course XOGO Player.

Since it was first released in 2014, Amazon's Fire Stick media player has been a low-cost way to stream content like Netflix, YouTube and HBO on any screen that has an HDMI input. The Fire Stick is easy to set up and connect to WiFi, and it comes with a free remote control.
